Hello Readers. How are you going on with your examinations (
incase, you are my junior )?? This ‘Examination Month’ is indisputably the most
important month for all but when it comes to Board taking students, it gets some more value added to it. If you
are currently taking your Board Examinations this month then, you are probably done with English and
Physics and Chemistry is next to go!!
Hopefully, the above mentioned examinations went pretty well
and my suggestions added some value to your preparations. Even if they didn’t
go as expected, the battle is not over yet!! You still have ample amount of
chances to make the remaining 60% count.
Don’t lose hope and keep working as hard as before (or even more). Just try to
make those 12 hardworking schooling years count. Studying for 3 or 4 more hours
than usual won’t make you ill but may eventually help in fulfilling your will.
Don’t allow yourself to regret in future. It’s all about 18
more days!! Do the best you can and give your best shot at it. Well, I guess I
am done with my so-called ‘Philosopher’s Talk’ for today. Now, let me share some of the ‘Last-minute strategies’
for the remaining subjects. So, here I go….
CHEMISTRY--The Unnecessary Hype
·
As the sub-title suggests, this subject is
over-rated due to it’s excessive syllabus!!
·
Not only it is easy to score, questions asked
are not tough either.
·
Unarguably, NCERT is the ‘GOD BOOK’ in Chemistry
but if time doesn’t permit, atleast give
a go through NCERT for chapters of BOOK-I.
·
Do not panic about Inorganic Chemistry. Even
going through previous year questions ( better if you solve ARIHANT Prev. Yr.
Chap. Soln.) will do.
·
Name Reactions in ORGANIC Chemistry must be at
your tips.
·
Do not forget to mention reaction conditions
(wherever possible) in each organic reaction!!
·
While writing structures of Organic Compounds,
do mention it’s general or chemical name (if possible).
·
Time is never a cause of worry. So, keep your
calm, read each question properly and answer in the best way possible but make
sure you don’t mention the entire family bio-data while they asked just your
name!!!
Tip: Give proper time in reading the questions and make sure
you do not miss out any twist or turn in the questions.
MATHEMATICS—The Silly Calculations
·
Well, I made one silly calculation mistake ( -2
– (-3)=-5 in finding determinant ) which wasted my 35 valuable minutes during
exam and eventually cost me 5 marks thereby, decreasing my percentage by 1!!
·
So, make sure you don’t get stuck to any
question. Don’t take any question on your ‘EGO’!! Learn to leave and save your
time. You can definitely come back onto the same question if time permits.
·
Be cautious while doing calculations especially
in MATRICES AND DETERMINANTS.
·
Practice , Practice and Practice. During the
period of preparation leave, don’t just look at the question and solve it in
mind. Make use of pen and paper!!!
·
All formulae must be at your tips, especially
those related to integration and differentiation.
·
Do not leave any question unattempted. Write the
formulae, wherever possible.
·
Do solve all the Solved Examples given in NCERT.
If already solved, solve once again for practice.
·
Do not run behind too many sources for practice.
Keep things simple. Solving previous year questions may definitely help.
·
Try and solve atleast two sample papers keeping
an eye on time to completely prepare yourself for the ‘Battleground’!!
Tip: Do not waste too much time on one particular question
and make sure you are not running out of time. Don’t think too much about
scoring 100!! Just try to give your best.
P.S.—With JEE-MAINS at the corner, many aspirants
especially, droppers must be confused how to go about from now, how to manage
such vast syllabus and the best ‘Revision Strategy’. So, I will be sharing
‘Revision Strategy For Droppers’ in my next blog. Feel free to ask any query
related to subjects mentioned in this blog by commenting below.
